Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BuildTaste (the "Service"), a tool that helps you design and export an organized design kit for your website. By creating an account or purchasing access, you agree to these Terms.
1. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address and be at least 16 years old.
2. What you get
BuildTaste is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Access tiers (currently Founder and Growth) are described on our pricing page. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the Service and to use the design kits you export — including briefs, theme files, CSS, code, examples and integration notes — in your own commercial and personal projects.
3. Your exports are yours
You own the design kits you generate and may use them however you like, including in client work and commercial products. We claim no ownership over the sites you build. The BuildTaste application, its interface, its curated taste systems, and its reference library remain our property.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't resell or redistribute BuildTaste itself, or access to it, as a competing product.
- Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Don't use the Service to build anything unlawful.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Prices are shown at checkout. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
6. Availability & changes
We work to keep the Service available and to add new taste systems and features over time, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, improve, or change parts of the Service. If we make a material change to these Terms, we'll update the date above.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is." Design is subjective; while we curate every option for quality, we don't warrant that a given result will meet a specific business outcome.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildTaste's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
