Refund Policy

When a refund may be approved
We may approve a refund only when there is a real product failure, billing error, or material mismatch between what was sold and what your paid account received.
- A paid feature advertised at checkout or on the pricing page was not available in your account at the time of purchase.
- A technical issue in BuildTaste prevents access, saving, or ZIP export, and we cannot resolve it after reviewing the evidence.
- The product materially fails to do what it was sold to do, and the failure can be shown with screenshots, recordings, exported files, or repeatable steps.
- You were accidentally charged twice for the same account and tier.
What is not refundable
If BuildTaste works and delivers the features described for your tier, the purchase is not refundable. Requests are not eligible when the reason is:
- You changed your mind, did not use the product, bought the wrong tier, or no longer need it.
- You dislike a design direction, prefer another style, or expected a specific business result such as conversions, revenue, sales, or investor response.
- Your AI coding agent, hosting platform, browser extension, custom codebase, or another third-party tool fails to apply an export correctly.
- The request is based on a feature described as preview, beta, future, or not included in your paid tier at the time of purchase.
- You cannot provide enough proof for us to verify or reproduce the issue.
How to request a refund
Email hello@buildtaste.com from the address on your account within 14 days of purchase. Include your account email, purchase date, the tier you bought, and the specific reason you believe the product failed.
Please include proof: screenshots, a screen recording, exported files, console errors, or clear steps that let us reproduce the issue. We will review the request, may ask for more details, and will try to fix the issue first. If the issue is verified and cannot be reasonably resolved, we will process a refund to the original payment method.
After a refund
After a refund, your paid access is deactivated. You may keep files you already exported for your own work, but you will no longer have access to paid features, saved paid-tier work, or future updates. We may decline repeat refund requests or refund abuse across multiple accounts.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply in your location. If a law requires a different remedy, that law controls.
